A new study into the mental health of naval personnel at sea has found their mental health to be worse than that of land-based troops deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
This includes symptoms of trauma, highlighting the issue of trauma at sea and the importance of ensuring support for sea-based personnel from both military and private organisations.
Two of the authors of the study are March on Stress Director Professor Neil Greenberg and Clinical Associate Dean Whybrow. To access the article from the Journal of Occupational & Environmental Medicine, please click here.
