World Mental Health Day 2018

Added on the 10th October 2018

World Mental Health Day 2018 is here, a great opportunity to raise awareness and support for mental health. This year focuses on young people and mental health in a changing world.

At March on Stress, we support the working adult population through expert peer support training, specialist workshops, policy development and psychological monitoring. We also provide clinical assessment, support and clinical interventions.

Business Development Director, Georgina Godden, said: “Our team is busier than ever, providing expert training to a huge range of organisations that recognise the importance of supporting their staff and having formal processes and policy in place around mental health. The conversation around mental health is so important for adults and young people.”

March on Stress Director, Professor Neil Greenberg, said: “It is good to see that conversations about mental health problems, their impact and how frequent they are amongst the general population are becoming more common.

“The March on Stress team believe that employers have a really important role to play in supporting their staff’s mental health needs. We pride ourselves on providing a range of evidence-based interventions to support organisations that routinely place their staff in challenging or traumatic situations.

“It’s great to have a World Mental Health Day but just as important to remember that taking care of people’s mental health is a 24/7/365 activity.”
