New March on Stress conference!

Added on the 1st November 2019

We are delighted to announce the next March on Stress conference – ‘Mental health at work: what’s the evidence?’ will take place in London on 11 February 2020.

The focus of the conference will be mental health in the workplace – with presentations on the impact of, and how to manage, traumatic and occupational stress.

The event will begin with a keynote from March on Stress Managing Director and King’s College Professor of Defence Mental Health, Professor Neil Greenberg. Neil is a consultant psychiatrist and one of the country’s leading trauma experts. He is also at the forefront of development into peer support for occupational stress.

A host of other expert speakers will be part of the day, including Dr Will Ponsonby (President of the Society of Occupational Medicine), Dr Laura Rafferty (King’s College London), Dr Vanessa Moulton (Mindflex), Dr Brock Chisholm (Trauma Treatment International), Ed House (Home Office), Martin Lally (Greater Manchester Police Federation), Dr Andy Ronald (NHS Grampian), Darren Humphrey (March on Stress) and Dr Karla Greenberg (March on Stress).

Georgina Godden, March on Stress Business Development Director, said: “We are really looking forward to this event, which will be a fascinating and enjoyable day for anyone interested in supporting mental health at work.

“For TRiM and StRaW trained personnel the day will be an excellent CPD opportunity and we also look forward to welcoming others with an interest in mental health at work, for what will be a varied event packed full of expert and experiential sessions.

“Our speakers include mental health clinicians, NHS, police and public sector representatives talking about their experiences of supporting mental health in their workplaces and trauma and occupational health specialists. We believe this combination of expert and experiential learning, will really benefit those attending in expanding their knowledge. As with all of our work, this conference will include the latest evidence and research.

“If our last conference in 2017 is anything to go by this will be an invaluable day for anyone interested in mental health at work.”
