Trauma expert speaks at Occupational Health event

Added on the 6th February 2015

March on Stress Director, Professor Neil Greenberg, is providing an expert presentation on trauma at a conference for the At Work Partnership in London today, Friday 6 February 2015.

The event, in association with the Journal of Occupational Health, is the 11th annual conference from the At Work Partnership and provides delegates with updates on crucial developments in occupational health law and professional practice.

As one of the UKs leading trauma experts, Professor Greenberg will speak about dealing with trauma, including who is at risk and whether individual factors increase the likelihood of harm, managing psychological health and treating and managing mental health problems.

An occupational, academic and clinical expert, Professor Greenberg was at the forefront of trauma risk management (TRiM) development in the UK military.

TRiM is a peer-support approach to trauma risk management and is NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) compliant.

Professor Greenberg has also developed, alongside mental health professionals, a peer support programme for managing and supporting occupational stress called StRaW (Sustaining resilience at work).
