Our next Advanced Mentoring Skills workshop takes place in Exeter on Friday 16th October 2015.
This one day course is designed and delivered by mental health professionals, with a focus upon stress reduction techniques, strategies to overcome resistance to referral and treatment, and problem solving skills.
Professor Neil Greenberg, who helped to design the course, said: “This training is an insightful and practical course to give attendees skills to help them in their everyday roles.
“It doesn’t make delegates mental health professionals but gives really useful practical tools and knowledge. It includes a variety of supportive techniques to help colleagues who have experienced challenging events and is particularly suited to those in supervisory or managerial positions.
“A number of our Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) delegates have gone on to do the AMS course and it’s a great add on to this, but equally we have seen non-TRiM trained clients gain huge benefit from the AMS training.”
