The latest King’s College Veterans’ Mental Health conference took place in London yesterday – Thursday 14 March 2019.
The event is organised by King’s Centre for Military Health Research and shines a spotlight on the important subject of veterans’ mental health by bringing together academics, researchers and mental health practitioners to share ideas around initiatives and best practice.
For the third year running, Prince Harry attended the event as part of his ongoing work at the Royal Foundation with the Heads Together campaign to change the national conversation on mental health.
Once again March on Stress Director Professor Neil Greenberg was the senior convenor of the conference, leading the organisation of the day and bringing it to a close with a summating speech. Aside from his work at March on Stress, Neil is Professor of Defence Mental Health with King’s College London and one of the leading experts in the UK on military mental health.
Watch a video of the opening of the event, featuring Professor Greenberg welcoming Prince Harry and the opening address from MP Tobias Ellwood on the ITN website here.
