Iraq training course a success

Roy Scott MBE, March on Stress Operations Director, has just returned from Iraq where he was training a TRiM (trauma risk management) Practitioners' course for private security contractors based there.

Roy said: 'The course went down really well - with the delegates really seeing the value of TRiM in a location like Iraq and all very keen to support their colleagues by making sure the TRiM process works effectively far and wide throughout their organisation.'

It has been a busy month for Roy - who only returned from training TRiM to another private security company in Afghanistan three weeks ago.

'In Afghanistan we taught both UK staff and locals and the training was appreciated by both. Processes like TRiM - which help with the prevention, detection and early treatment of operational stress, including PTSD - really help employees feel supported, particularly when they are working in dangerous environments.'
