TRiM training - What will I learn?

TRiM Practitioner training includes:

  • The basics of trauma psychology
  • How to plan for traumatic events both before and immediately afterwards
  • How to conduct a psychological risk assessment

TRiM Manager training includes:

  • How to conduct a Post Event Team Review (PETR) with those involved directly in the immediate aftermath of an incident
  • How to conduct detailed planning meetings and planning exercises
  • How to prepare and deliver a TRiM Briefing Meeting; carry out organisational briefings; consider mental health supervision

In addition, we now certify TRiM Manager delegates as ‘Trauma Awareness Trainers’ following the course and equip them with an appropriate presentation to carry out this function.

StRaW training - What will I learn?

StRaW training includes:

  • The detection of workplace stress, spotting the signs of psychological distress that might otherwise go unnoticed
  • When to trigger a StRAW response and how to conduct a peer support interview
  • Specific topics, including self-harm and managing your own mental health
  • Strategies to overcome resistance to referral/accessing treatment
  • Effective mentoring skills, including decisional balance

What is included in the course fees?

All of our training is of the highest standard and we use highly experienced instructors.

Due to the nature of the content and structure of the StRaW and TRiM courses, and to ensure you can gain the maximum from the training we keep our course numbers small.

The course fee includes lunch and refreshments on all training days (accommodation is not included).

Each course delegate will receive a relevant handbook (for TRiM or StRaW) along with other relevant course materials and each course comes with a certificate of attendance.

What do our course delegates say?
